Accompagnement thérapeutique LGBT+ en cabinet ou en visio

Les questions d’orientation sexuelle et d’identité de genre ne sont pas des problématiques en soQuestions related to sexual orientation and gender identity are not problems in themselves.

They tend to become difficult when they encounter:

the gaze of others
implicit social norms
family expectations
internal conflicts
experiences of rejection or stigma

Some people grow up learning to stay silent, to adapt, or to protect themselves.
Others experience a sense of difference that is difficult to put into words.

Reasons People May Seek Support

  • identity questioning
  • difficulty defining or affirming oneself
  • fear of rejection
  • internalized shame
  • social anxiety
  • family conflicts
  • coming out
  • relational or romantic difficulties
  • pressure related to professional or cultural environments

The goal is not to “correct” an identity.
It is to create a space where it can be explored without having to constantly defend it.

Therapeutic work may involve:

  • distinguishing between social criticism and internalized criticism
  • regulating emotional responses to anxiety or shame
  • strengthening self-esteem
  • clarifying relational choices
  • developing a more stable inner position

When relevant, we may also explore:

  • adaptation patterns developed in childhood
  • strategies of over-adaptation
  • mechanisms of hypervigilance

Some of these strategies were necessary forms of protection.
The work involves adjusting what may have become too costly over time.
Le travail consiste à ajuster ce qui est devenu trop coûteux.

The transition into adulthood can intensify these questions.

This may involve:

  • defining personal boundaries
  • deciding what to share and what to keep private
  • finding a balance between self-expression and self-protection
  • building more secure relationships

The aim of therapy is to support this process without rushing it.

The therapeutic space is a place of confidentiality and neutrality.

There is no ideological agenda and no expectations about who you should be.

It is a place to reflect, understand, and stabilize your inner position.
